Karen
Karen
Receptionist

Oh, Mrs. Karen could tell some tales. This Port Arthur native has been with the Caldwell Veterinary Clinic since 1990! When she’s not tending to her flower gardens, Karen and her husband (married in 1982), Gary, enjoy vacationing to tropical beaches where they go scuba diving. They also enjoy hanging out with their daughter, Christina and son-in-law, Jared. Mrs. Karen is very rooted in her faith, she is involved in the Milam County Cowboy Church, as well as volunteering at Dusty Trails Tres Dias, an organization to help those who attend become closer to the Lord. Karen has 2 dogs, 3 cats, and has 8 chickens (which now has Maddy lovingly calling her ‘Chicken Tender’).

Deidre
Deidre
Receptionist

Deidre joined us in 2018 as our ‘keeper of the phones’ (receptionist) and we are happy to have her!  Deidre grew up in Caldwell and attended Blinn College. She has 1 dog and 4 cats (1 who is the largest, fluffiest, most loveable cat you will ever see). You can always be sure that when any animal (old, feisty, young, or sweet) she will absolutely obsess over how cute they are, she loves all of them! Whenever she’s away from the clinic and gets a little free time, she enjoys hanging out with her family or reading.

She started as a kennel technician, moving to technician, and now is our Marketing Coordinator/IT. She happily owns 3 dogs (Hock is pictured) and 15 horses (her baby, Spitfire, is pictured). Here, since graduating, her time outside of the clinic has been spent on the backs of her horses, which is where she prefers to spend her free time.
